Princeton Lake is a privately owned 15 acre lake just west of the Camp Creek Market Place. The lake is located on a 29 acre piece of property where we are developing Princeton Lake Park for the local community to enjoy.
Princeton Lake is located just 5 miles west of the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, one mile outside of I-285, just off of Camp Creek Parkway. A great location for even a quick lunch set during the work week!! (See MAP for detailed directions)
Princeton Lake is just over 1600 feet long, so we utilize an 8-Buoy Slalom Course in order to provide us with more setup time before entering the course. A ski jump is located on the western shore and there is plenty of space to trick ski alongside the eastern shoreline as well.
WaterSki Atlanta, along with the local businesses and residents, will develop a community park at Princeton Lake that will eventually include a hard surface trail around the lake that will cover just over 3/4 of a mile, park benches and gazebos will be erected along the trail to enjoy the great views of the lake, and a Pavillion will be constructed that will seat over 50 people that will include barbeque grills for family functions. Plans for a playground and dog park are in the works as well.
Princeton Lake offers many advantages over training on public lakes in the Atlanta area. First, you won’t have to deal with other boat traffic. Only WaterSki Atlanta members and guests will be allowed to use the lake and only one boat can be operated at any given time. Also, the smaller lake size and the protected location means reduced winds on the lake for better ski conditions, which are needed to rapidly improve in our sport.
